The program, known as the ‘blinded intensive program’, brought together 52 students from eight different European countries. The diverse groups worked collaboratively and competitively to develop innovative concepts that could potentially make a positive impact on the industry, particularly in solving current problems. RedCompass Labs’ experts together with guest lecturers Stijn Van Hijfte, FRM and Koen Vingerhoets shared their expertise with the students and coached them throughout the program
Damian Dzienio, Business Analyst of RedCompass Labs, said “‘Vires in Numeris’. Strength in numbers is a very suitable slogan. On the one hand, they work in teams, showing the strength of several perspectives coming together. Aside from that, all in crypto is based on correct numbers and data.”
The top three teams were rewarded with one-of-a-kind UCLL NFTs that they could store in their crypto wallets, while the remaining two were handed over to RedCompass Labs Belgium’s general manager and UCLL’s head of the Management programme.
“Handing each other a ring as part of a partnership does make it more official, doesn’t it? (laughs),” says Kim Plevoets, UCLL’s head of the Management programme. “To UCLL, it’s a privilege and an added value to count on a company such as RedCompass Labs to join forces with us. They handle financial technology on daily basic, which means their experience offers a great addition to this project. As for the NFTs? They’re a prime example of the innovations within the financial tech sector and a perfect and beautiful way to celebrate this project.”
This partnership signifies a new revolution in the financial technology domain, particularly in the areas of blockchain, NFTs, and Bitcoin, and encourages creativity and out-of-the-box thinking across borders.
